The story of a Wild Food Weekend
A trained chef, Chris Bax set up Taste the wild to promote wild foods as exciting ingredients to use in innovative ways. Using new flavours, some unlike anything in the shops, people can create dishes that are deliciously different.
Our wild food weekend will give you a chance to learn to find, identify and process wild ingredients and transform them into tasty treats.
“Just got back from the wild food weekend and I have to say it's the best course I have ever been on and I've done a few. From the moment I arrived you made me feel really relaxed and welcome and opened my eyes to just what's on my front doorstep!
I can't say enough about the quality, passion and knowledge that both yourself and rose showed throughout the weekend from when we went foraging our food through to the cooking demonstrations. The food itself was out of this world and I can't wait for the new 'wild garlic' season to begin. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone with a love of the outdoors believe me you will not be disappointed. I am really looking forward to learning more on the 2011 coastal foraging course, it can't come round soon enough.”
